Enhanced ‘Doze’ mode in Android Nougat

The energy saving mode ‘Doze’ is improved in Android  Nougat. Earlier, it used to work when the phone is in undisturbed( when you are sleeping). Now it will also work when the screen is turned off.

Reply to messages from the ‘notifications bar’

With Android Nougat, users can reply to messages from the notification bar itself. With this, the user will not need to unlock their phone  or even leave an app to reply to a message, hence, more convenient.

A hamburger menu button (icon with three lines) has now been added into the system settings. When a user is in the Storage menu, for example, he can quickly jump to the other system options using this hamburger menu.

Android Nougat  released today. However, this update is for some selected devices and soon we are expecting the same for other devices too.

Now in Android Nougat (7.1), you can see how much system memory is being used. This is shown below the display total space consumed by you. You can see this by tapping ‘storage’ in the settings option.

    Yeah lots of information but I turned on my marshmallow powered samsung galaxy smartphone & tried to follow along the info-grapghic but couldn’t do it. No fingerprint scanner, lock screen & notification apps were different, too.
